What Is Clean Energy?

Clean energy is defined as any technology that reduces the environmental impact of a product or service that requires the use of energy.  This includes: technologies associated with improved sources of energy; more efficient use of energy; and better management of energy waste.

Why Use Clean Energy?

The use of energy is elemental to how we go about our daily lives.  From the heat we use to cook our food and warm our homes, the electricity we use to keep the lights on, or the fuel that powers our cars...energy makes our lives easier!  Unfortunately, not only does most of the energy that we use come from non-renewable sources (fossil fuels), but we typically waste a great deal of it by using it inefficiently.

Unlike fossil fuels, clean energy fuels can be replaced or generated quickly.  Replacing fossil fuels takes millions of years.

Many fossil fuels have to be imported into the United States from coutnries all over the world  Clean energy can be produced right here, right now! 

Clean energy technologies are good for the environment.
Clean energy means less harmful emissions, less greenhouse gases, less toxic waste, and better air quality.
